• Our client, a small, well-established (30+ years in business) and still rapidly growing real estate development company is seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist to add to their expanding team for a hybrid role (2-3 days in office) in South Austin, TX.

The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accounts payable (AP), Payroll preparation for multiple entities, Expensify program administration, reimbursements, payroll garnishments, sales & use tax, property tax payments, and vendor compliance. This role reports to the Controller and offers a supportive 4-person department, established processes, mentorship and a team-oriented growth environment with lots of room for advancement!Responsibilities:

• Entity coding, cutting checks, 1099 processing, commercial loan statement reconciliation
• Preparation and coding, garnishments, Expensify reimbursements, track taxes, deductions, benefits
• Coding, proper training to employees on best practices/ submission deadlines, reconciliations
• Filing reports before the due date, ensure new site tax permits are set up prior to revenue operations
• Maintain and track tax log, review quarterly
• Utilize Gravity Software, Excel, QuickBooks, and other accounting tools

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in A/P and payroll processing
• Strong knowledge of general ledger coding, vendor payments, and payroll deductions/tax compliance
• Experience processing payroll for multiple entities
• Ability to manage Expensify reimbursements & enforce company policies
• Sales & use tax and property tax compliance experience
• Excel proficiency (sorting data, basic formulas, pivot tables preferred)

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k – 85k/year range
