We invite you to bring your talents to New York Life Investments, so we can continue to help people achieve their financial aspirations.The Investment Associate will primarily support commercial real estate debt and equity originators and equity asset managers and will be involved in all aspects of the mortgage origination and equity acquisition process including underwriting, research, due diligence, negotiations, deal structuring, and closing. Financial modeling, investment analysis and preparation of internal investment memoranda are the core aspects of the job. The candidate will also participate in internal and external client meetings, presentations to senior management, and property/market tours.This position offers an outstanding opportunity to develop a solid career in commercial real estate, work on large and complex transactions, and interact with many of the premier players in the industry. QualificationsA business-related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic record and with a strong preference for a concentration in Finance or Real Estate. The candidate should have two or more years of real estate investment/underwriting experience preferably working for an institutional investment company, commercial lender, brokerage company, appraisal firm, or related commercial real estate firm. Proficiency in Argus and advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel is required.Pay TransparencySalary Range: $110,000-$130,000Overtime eligible: ExemptDiscretionary bonus eligible: YesSales bonus eligible: NoActual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
