Job description: Research AnalystReports to: VP, ResearchLocation: NYCWe are seeking a Research Analyst with expertise in Excel and quantitative analysis to join the Fortune Higher Education Lists and Rankings team, that is responsible for Fortune’s signature rankings methodologies and analysis.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, creation, and publication of quantitative lists-both existing and new-using sophisticated research and Excel techniques.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, market segments, and insights for internal use and for clients and partners.
• Manage and execute email-based correspondence with partners to reach data collection goals
• Support content creation by providing data-driven insights to editorial, marketing, and sales teams.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in research, data analysis, or a related field.
• Meticulous organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of business metrics and data strongly preferred.
• Experience with the Higher Education industry a plus.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulae as well as the ability to use research tools
• Ability to work independently as well as contribute to overall team projects.
• Strong quantitative analytical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
