Job description: Bluestone is seeking to hrie 2 reliable Porters (Groundskeepers) to join our team starting March 30th! This full-time position offers 35-40 hours per week with two available schedules. The porter will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our exterior common areas while providing excellent customer service. This is a mid-level positon, some experience is required, please see below.Key Responsibilities:

• Roaming: This is a roaming position. You will be assigned to each job site for a specific time (1-3 hours) and will drive throughout the day. An excellent driving record is required.
• Daily Reporting: Report to the Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor each day.
• Exterior Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in all exterior common areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, landscape beds, and lobbies.. Remove trash, gum, and debris to ensure the property is in top condition.
• Trash Management: Empty and sanitize trash containers regularly. Replenish liners and disinfect as needed.
• General Clean-Up: Promptly clean up spills in common areas.
• Graffiti Removal: Inspect common areas for graffiti and remove or report it to the Property Manager immediately.
• Safety Oversight: Identify and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues in common areas (e.g., uneven surfaces, damaged parking lot signage, etc.).
• Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company tools and vehicles are kept in good condition.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance experience strongly desired
• Previous groundskeeper, landscaping, or other similar position is required (1 year minimum)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders (up to 10 ft) as required.
• Able to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours a day) without assistance.
• Strong verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with tenants and team members.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Motor vehicle, background check, and drug test required (we do not test for marijuana).

Schedule & Compensation:

• Option 1: Vancouver position: Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
• Option 2: Portland position: Wednesday-Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Note: While this position offers flexibility on scheduling (i.e.: makeup days, and flexible start times), Saturdays and Sundays are required.
