Are you a highly experienced accounting and finance leader with a passion for real estate? We are partnered with a privately-held real estate investment and management firm with a long history of success and a diverse portfolio of commercial properties throughout California. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vice President to serve as the top accounting and finance executive, reporting directly to the owner.
Position Summary:
As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the financial health and accurate reporting of the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of real estate accounting, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions, including corporate, property, and financial reporting.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
• Advise the Executive Team on all financial matters.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Manage relationships with external financial partners (CPA, etc.).
• Maximize return on financial assets and mitigate risk.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, and revenue recognition.
• Communicate financial information clearly and effectively.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification is highly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in real estate accounting.
• MRI experience is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
